2012/13 Kit Launch At Tamworth Friendly

Wednesday 25/07/2012

Hednesford Town Football Club will launch their new home kit at Saturday’s pre-season fixture against local rivals Tamworth as The Pitmen begin to focus on their league opener against Frickley Athletic at Keys Park on Saturday August 18th.

The kit, designed by Joma, will be on sale at the club shop and will also be available to order on the Club’s revamped website @ www.hednesfordtownfc.com in the coming weeks.

Club Secretary, Terry McMahon, expressed how impressed he was with the new shirt which will see Hednesford make a return to their famous black and white colour scheme after playing in all white last season.

‘We are once again very happy with the design of the new kit and are confident our supporters will be impressed with the change back to the more traditional colours of white shirts, black shorts and white socks. The new design of the strip now allows us to offer a size range from toddler up to 3XL.’

Saturday’s game at Keys Park is the biggest of a pre-season calender which has also seen Rob Smith’s side take on Mansfield Town, Wulfrunians, Heath Hayes and Bedworth United. Meanwhile a squad made up of youth players and first teamer Michael Lennon went down 5-2 against Walsall Wood with Lennon and Amani Allen scoring the goals for The Pitmen on Tuesday night.

The Keys Park outfit will face Sutton Coldfield at home next Tuesday evening KO 7.45pm before welcoming Vauxhall Motors at Keys Park on Saturday 4th August. Hednesford then travel to Newtown in Wales to play ex-manager Bernard McNally’s Welsh Premier League outfit on Saturday 11th August for their final fixture as the real action begins in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division the following week.
