Travel Club AGM On Thursday To Discuss New Season

Wednesday 19/06/2013

The Hednesford Town Football Club Independent Travel Club will be holding their Annual General Meeting this coming Thursday, 20th June, at Keys Park as the fan-run organisation, always huge contributors to The Pitmen’s renowned away following, discuss plans for the new season.

The Club, run by a band of loyal supporters for many years, will be discussing a wide range of issues involving departure times for away fixtures next season, pricing structures ahead of The Pitmen’s first season in the Conference North for seven years and reviewing the finances from last year’s successful campaign.

Spokesman Phil Raybould was keen to welcome new and current members to attend Thursday’s meeting and was optimistic about what the organisation could achieve in the next twelve months, citing big away games versus Telford and Stockport County, as key fixtures this year.

‘Last season was superb both for the Club and the supporters and, as a means for fans to travel to away matches, we felt we gave supporters the chance to attend games that, without access to a reliable and reasonably priced coach, they may not have made.

The trips to Walsall and Port Vale for the Cup Finals were sold out, as were the away matches to Ilkeston and Fylde in the league, so with Telford and Stockport among others this season I’m sure fans will be able to book onto our coach again and enjoy a day out following The Pitmen.’

Proceedings begin at 7.30pm in Strikers Bar and all Hednesford Town fans are welcome to attend.
