Football Club Set To Remember The Fallen.

Tuesday 04/11/2014

This weekend will see the country remembering those who have lost their lives whilst serving the country in numerous conflicts around the globe. Hednesford Town Football Club will join in with that remembrance in its own special way.

We are looking forward to welcoming Veterans from the Second World War onwards to Keys Park on Saturday for the game against Barrow AFC.

Members of the Hednesford Branch of the Staffordshire Regimental Association will perform a guard of honour as the players come onto the pitch, whilst a bugler will play ‘The Last Post’ before a minute’s silence is undertaken.

There will also be members of the Royal British Legion with poppies and donation tins at hand.

The matchday programme will contain a remembrance theme, with information relating directly to the Football Club contained within.
Copies can be purchased for £2.50 on Saturday.

We look forward to welcoming supporters of both teams to Keys Park as we anticipate making it a memorable day in this special 100th anniversary year of the start of the First World War.
