Match Preview: Solihull Moors (A)

Monday 06/04/2015

Rob Smith’s side head into today’s clash against Solihull Moors knowing that it is very much last chance saloon if they are to reach the end of season play-offs.

The Pitmen head to Damson Park (Autotech Stadium) looking to get back to winning ways following a run of five defeats in their last six league games which has seen them drop out of the top five in the last couple of weeks.

Solihull had been on an equally poor run of form themselves until Saturday’s 1-0 victory at Brackley Town saw them reach the 50 point mark this season, despite being one of the sides in the hunt for promotion at one point.

Town are set to be boosted by the return of Paul Sullivan, with the striker having completed a very fruitful spell at Chasetown, while Ben Bailey is also set to play despite having a number of stitches in a knee wound following the defeat to Oxford City last time out.

They will be without suspended captain Darren Campion and striker Tom Strain who pulled his hamstring last week and has returned to Aston Villa.

With just four games to go a win today for Smith’s side will see them make ground up on two sides just above them with both Boston United and Tamworth facing each other this afternoon.

The game kicks off at 3.00pm today and full directions to the Moors ground can be found here: http://www.solihullmoorsfc.co.uk/club/directions-to-the-ground
