Hurst makes move to Torquay United

Friday 26/06/2015

We are now in a position to confirm that right-back James Hurst has completed a move to Vanarama National League side Torquay United.

The defender, who joined the Pitmen last summer, has made the switch to the south-west coast for an undisclosed fee.

Although Hurst, 23, suffered an injury at the start of his Hednesford career, the defender showed why he had played towards the top divisions of the English football pyramid – being a regular in Rob Smith’s side from October onwards.

The former West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham City defender made a total of 33 appearances for the Pitmen, scoring three times during his year-long stay.

Everyone at Keys Park would like to wish James all the best and thank him for his efforts while at the club.
