Match Preview: Chasetown (H)

Thursday 16/07/2015

The third of four games inside a week for the Pitmen sees them playing their first home pre-season one this evening when Chasetown visit Keys Park, kick-off 7.45pm.

After two draws in their opening games, Rob Smith’s side will be looking to pick up a victory as well as put in a good performance in front of their own supporters.

Among the Chasetown ranks will be former Hednesford players Francino Francis, Paul Sullivan, Grant Beckett and Simon Brown, who will all no doubt be looking to get one over their old side.

Smith is hoping to have left-back Tom James available for the first time after a niggling injury kept him out of the opening two games. Ahmed Obeng is also expected to return after recovering from a cut to his knee, picked up at Walsall Wood.

Chasetown’s last visit to Keys Park saw the Pitmen record a 1-0 victory in a pre-season game two years ago as we prepared to tackle our return to the Conference North.

Admission Prices: Adults £6 and Concessions (U16 and Over 60) £4
