Match Preview: Rhyl (A)

Friday 31/07/2015

In their penultimate pre-season fixture, the Pitmen tackle Welsh Premier League opposition this weekend when they travel to Rhyl.

After an impressive victory in midweek over a young Stoke City side, Hednesford will be looking to gain another win with just a week to go until the start of the new season.

Rob Smith is set to have a full squad of players to choose from with Kyle Perry, Jon Adams and Tom France all hoping to have recovered from small knocks which have kept them out of action recently.

Assistant manager Larry Chambers was expecting a different kind of test for his side than that experienced recently

“Yet again a lot of how we perform depends on who is available for us.” He said.

“I’m hoping that Dis and TJ will have come through without any after effects from the other evening.

“It will be another tough test for us but everything is now geared towards Stalybridge the following week.

“That is the most important thing for us as all these pre-season games are nice to win but the result are irrelevant somewhat.”

Hednesford last took on Rhyl in their 2006 pre-season campaign, whilst competitively the clubs have met on three separate occasions in the FA Trophy, with the home side holding the upper hand.

Admission prices for the game that kicks off at 3.00pm are; £10 adults, £6 concessions and £3 U16s.
Ground address: Belle Vue Stadium, Grange Road, Rhyl, Denbighshire, LL18 4BY
