Match Preview: Chorley (A)

Friday 16/10/2015

Hednesford Town head to Chorley on Saturday aiming to put a forgettable week behind them as they return to league action.

Two cup defeats against Alfreton Town and Coleshill Town have put paid to some of the good work which Bernard McNally had started to see from his side following a four game unbeaten run

Chorley has traditionally been a mixed hunting ground for the Pitmen with a 2-1 victory being sandwiched between a 5-1 and 2-0 defeat.

McNally knows that his side will have to improve on the last week and said:

“We have got a soft side at this moment in time where we keep conceding goals, and you can’t keep doing that and expect to win games.”

The Pitmen boss is once again set to be without the services of striker Marvin Robinson, who misses out due to a calf injury, but has been boosted by a return to action for Adam Thomas with the midfielder playing a whole ninety minutes in mid-week.

The game that kicks-off at the usual Saturday time of 3.00pm will see the Pitmen wearing their red and yellow away kit.
