Duo depart as Digie loan spell extended

Monday 04/01/2016

Hednesford Town Football Club can confirm that defender Tyrone Williams and striker Danico Johnson have today departed Keys Park.

Williams has been recalled by his parent club Kidderminster Harriers after spending the first half the season on loan with the Pitmen. The youngster impressed during his 26 games, playing all along the back-line and scoring four goals in the process after arriving in the summer of 2015.

Manager Frank Sinclair said: “We are disappointed to lose Tyrone Williams back to Kidderminster and it shows what they must think of him to recall him.”

Former Coleshill Town striker Johnson meanwhile has been given the chance to go and play football elsewhere on a more regular basis after struggling to break into the first team over the course of the last month.

The manager added: “I will still be keeping an eye on him and how he performs and maybe an opportunity will arise where he is able to come back in the future.”

Both players depart the club with the best wishes of everyone at Keys Park and we wish them well for their future careers.

Sinclair has been able to extend the loan spell of Kennedy Digie until the end of the season though. The 18-year-old has impressed in a new central-defensive role since Sinclair arrived and will now spend the rest of the campaign with the Pitmen.
