Match Preview: Alfreton Town (H)

Friday 11/03/2016

The Pitmen play host to Alfreton Town for the second time this season, with Saturday’s meeting being the third in total with the Derbyshire club so far this campaign.

After being on the wrong end of a 4-0 defeat in the league back in September we suffered a 4-2 loss in the FA Cup, despite having taken the lead in the tie.

Our visitors come into the game having missed out on three points in the week after conceding a goal in stoppage time. We were also left frustrated after the Staffordshire Senior Cup tie at Kidsgrove Athletic was postponed.

Manager Frank Sinclair said that on the back of last weekend’s draw with Gloucester City he was hoping for a three point haul return tomorrow.

“I’m really looking forward to the match, especially after last week’s result. We go into the match on Saturday afternoon following a tough game at Gloucester City which saw us come away with a point.

“What we need to do once again is take the team spirit that we showed throughout and make sure it is with us again on Saturday.

“We know that under normal circumstances that point would have been seen as a good result but in our position we have to be winning games, something we need to do on Saturday.”

Sinclair is set to be able to call upon a near fully fit squad for the game at Keys Park on Saturday, with just midfielder Andy Todd still a couple of weeks away from returning after suffering a bad break to his arm in January.

The game against Alfreton will be segregated with visiting supporters being housed in the Hednesford End of the ground and entering the ground through turnstiles 2A and 2B.

Home supporters will be housed in the rest of the stadium with entrance available through turnstiles 3A, 3B, 4A, 4B, 4C

Both sets of supporters will have access to a bar before and after the game.

Remember that we are running a special ticket deal for the next three games. You can attend games against Alfreton, Stockport and Worcester at the price of £30 for adults and £18 for concessions.
