Match Preview: Curzon Ashton (A)

Friday 01/04/2016

For most Hednesford Town supporters, Saturday’s trip to Curzon Ashton will provide the opportunity for a new ground to be ticked off the list – albeit within touching distance of others that we have visited in the past.

Situated in Tameside the ground is just down the road from the home of Ashton United – a club that we visited on numerous occasions during our time in the Northern Premier League.

Following consecutive promotions Curzon have established themselves in the National League North and comfortably sit in the top half of the table.

Saturday’s game will be just the second ever meeting between the two sides with the first also coming earlier this year when Curzon returned home from Keys Park victorious, following three second half goals at the tail end of January.

As the Pitmen look to try and close the gap on those sides above them they head into this weekend knowing that nothing but three points will do from their trip north.

Manager Frank Sinclair is once again set to be without the services of Andy Todd and Tom Thorley but defender Jack Fitzwater has recovered from an ankle problem which kept him out of the trip to Corby Town last weekend.

The Travel Club have reduced coach prices for the game at Curzon. It leaves Keys Park at 10:30am, at the reduced cost of £12 / £15, contact Ken Leese on 07935 723290 to book a seat.

Admission Prices:
Adults £10.00
Concessions (over-65) £5.00
£3.00 for Students and Under 16s £3.00

Ground Address: The Tameside Stadium, Richmond Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL7 9HG

Car Parking: Free car parking is available with six disabled spaces. There is also a large ‘Over-Spill’ car park located on the left at the beginning of the approach road to the stadium.
