Talented Winger Arrives at Keys Park

Monday 13/06/2016

Exciting winger Demetri Brown has become the latest new addition to the playing squad at Keys Park.

The 21-year-old arrives at the football club after impressing Hednesford Town manager Liam McDonald on a number of occasions last season while playing for Tividale.

The manager said:

“He is someone who I was aware of last season after having watched him a number of times. He has a lot of potential and I’m looking forward to giving him an opportunity at this level as we look to develop him as a player.

“Demetri is most effective as a winger that likes to go forward. He is a quick, determined and chips in with goals. I’m very much looking forward to working with him as we look to tap into the potential and enthusiasm he has.

“I’m also looking forward to giving someone a chance who is a local lad. He’s coming into a big club and I’m looking for him to embrace the part that he has to play and I think he is up to the challenge.”

Brown arrived at Tividale in July 2015 where he played 38 matches for them. Before that he had spells with Sutton Coldfield Town and AFC Wulfruniuns.

Following his arrival at Keys Park he said:

“I’m excited to get going with my new club. I always say that I aim to be different from everyone else on the pitch so hopefully that is something which I can achieve here.

“This is something that will be totally new for me. I know that the club suffered relegation last season and I also know that it will be a new challenge for Hednesford as well as myself.”
