The Pitmen make the short journey down the A5 tomorrow afternoon when they take on Tamworth at the Lamb ground.

Liam McDonald’s players will be the first to try out Tamworth’s brand new 3G pitch which they have had installed over the summer – with this game being the first to take place on it.

After defeating a strong Crewe Alexandra side in midweek the Pitmen will be looking to once again put in a positive performance against higher league opposition on Saturday.

Striker Danny Glover will face a late fitness test after picking up an injury last weekend. Other than that McDonald should have a full strength squad to pick from with Dan Crane also returning from a recent break.

The manager will also be able to call on three academy youngsters who have impressed in training and will be getting their chance with the first team.

The match will kick off at the usual time of 3pm.
