Maye signs Keys Park contract

Thursday 28/07/2016

Hednesford Town are pleased to confirm that midfielder Simeon Maye has signed a one year contract with the club.

Maye, who joined the Pitmen from Redditch United two months ago, has impressed during the course of pre-season with a number of eye-catching appearances.

After our victory over Crewe Alexandra U21s on Wednesday evening the 22-year-old put pen to paper on a new deal.

Manager Liam McDonald admitted that he was looking forward to seeing Maye continuing to develop.

He said: “I’m delighted for Simeon to have signed a contract. He’s a big part of my plans at the football club. He’s been excellent during pre-season and is a manager’s dream to work with.

“Having signed him two seasons ago from Boldmere St. Michaels, it’s been fantastic to watch his development over the last few seasons and like myself a new challenge awaits in the Northern Premier League.”

Maye will be looking to continue his good form this weekend when the Pitmen travel to Tamworth.
