Match Preview: Coalville Town (H)

Friday 25/11/2016

Hednesford Town return home on Saturday as new manager Paul Casey takes charge of his first game at Keys Park after being appointed as first team manager.

The Pitmen go into the game looking to put the disappointment of their last two games behind them as they play host to Coalville Town for the very first time.

The visitors on Saturday have had a mixed time of it so far this season, with them sitting in 19th place in the table with 21 points from their 20 games so far this season.

Casey was hoping that his side could respond on in front of their own fans at Keys Park.

He said:

“Saturday will see us looking to get back to winning ways and will be sticking to a tried and trusted system that has won us games this season as I want this set of players to work for me and the football club.

“Training has gone well this week and lads are looking forward to our home game.

“I have managed to bring in two new faces this week, in the form of Kyle Rowley and Reece Leek, although we have been hampered by the fact that an experienced player that was due to sign has now decided to move elsewhere.

“However, we are still on the hunt for a natural number nine to give us presence and also midfielder to give us a little steel in the middle of the park .

“We will continue to work hard though and only look to bring in players that can improve this already great squad of players that we have here. I have a number of seven day approaches in and I hope to have some news on those soon.”

Striker Danny Glover will definitely miss the fixture due a hamstring injury picked up recently. Captain Tom Thorley will also face a late fitness test after not being able to train this week due to illness.
