Two New Players Added To Pitmen Squad

Hednesford Town Football Club can confirm that they have today completed the signing of defenders Kyle Haynes and Courtney Wildin.

Both players will be registered in time to be part of the squad which travels to Grantham Town on Saturday.

Haynes, 24, is no stranger to Keys Park having spent time at the club between 2011 and 2012.

Having Started his career at Birmingham City he signed for Cheltenham Town in 2008, making his Football League debut in March 2009 – becoming the club’s youngest ever player.

Loan spells at Gloucester City and Salisbury City followed before he linked up with the Pitmen for the first time at the end of the 2010/11 season. Haynes returned to the club on loan in August of that year before making the switch permanent in November – going on to play almost 50 games for the club before leaving in 2012.

Spells at Rushall Olympic, Worcester City and Halesowen Town have followed before returning to Keys Park under Paul Casey.

Wildin, 20, is an Antigua and Barbudan international footballer who has joined the Pitmen on a one month loan deal from Boston United.  

The defender began his career with Aston Villa before moving to the development squad at Sheffield Wednesday.  

Loan spells at Gainsborough Trinity and Lincoln City followed during that time before he was released and linked up with Boston in the summer of 2016.  

Wildin was called up by Antigua and Barbuda for the first time in May 2016 and made his full international debut as a second-half substitute on 4 June 2016 for in a Caribbean Cup qualifier against Puerto Rico.
