Four In-One Out for Pitmen

Friday 10/03/2017

As we enter the final six weeks of the season, the squad at Keys Park has been bolstered by the arrival of four new players this week – although it has also seen the departure of one player.

Joining the club are Louis Danquah, Bradley Peace-McDonald, Joe Ballinger and George Cater.

Sadly due to work commitments Kyle Haynes is having to put football to one side for the remainder of the season, but we will  retain his registration however .

Left-sided player Danquah and right-back Peace-McDonald both come highly rated from League Two side Mansfield Town. Louis arrives on a Youth Loan for one month with an option to extend up to the end of the season before the registration deadline while Bradley has signed dual-registration forms so will be able to continue playing for Mansfield’s reserves in addition to appearing for the Pitmen.

Central-defender Ballinger joins from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League rivals Barwell, with whom he has been with for the last 18 months after previously played for Solihull Moors.

Also arriving at the club is centre-forward Cater who joins from local rivals Stafford Rangers. Cater proved a valuable asset for Rangers last season as they gained promotion to this level after initially joining on-loan from Kidderminster Harriers.

The Pitmen return home to Keys Park on Saturday when Workington AFC visit, 3pm kick-off.
