Match Preview: Warrington Town (A)

Friday 24/03/2017

The Pitmen prepare to return to Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division action this weekend as we hit the road to Warrington Town.

This will be our first ever trip to the Winner Recruitment Stadium, the home of Warrington, with our paths never having crossed before in competitive action until this season.

After defeating Warrington 1-0 at Keys Park earlier in the season, we do however head into the game looking to record a league double over our Cheshire league rivals.

Our hosts on Saturday are currently making a concerted push for the play-offs though and sit in fifth place as they bid to hold off a host of other clubs looking to break into the top five.

On the injury front, Jordan Fitzpatrick will again be unavailable for selection due to a hamstring injury which is lingering on. Stuart McNaught and David McDermott should both have recovered from knocks picked up over the course of the last week while striker Danny Glover has returned to training. Goalkeeper Dan Crane has also been recovering this week after being forced to have stitches in a nasty cut he picked up last weekend.

The game kicks off at the usual time of 3pm and we hope that you can make the trip to support the Pitmen – with there still being spaces available on the Travel Club, please phone Ken Leese (07935723290) to book a seat.
