Match Preview: Chasetown (H)

Tuesday 11/04/2017

Hednesford Town take a break from league action this evening as we host Chasetown at Keys Park in the semi-final of the Staffordshire Senior Cup.

With a place in the final at stake in a competition that we last won a few seasons ago, both sides will be going all out in order to book their place in the end of season finale.

It has been some 18 months since we last played Chasetown in a competitive fixture, with us on that occasion defeating them 3-0 in the first round of this competition in November 2015.

Following the disappointment of Saturday’s defeat against Matlock Town, manager Gary Birch will be looking for a performance from the squad this evening as they look to progress in a competition that we last won in 2013.

Stuart McNaught (hip), Lewis Wright (knee) and Bradley Peace-McDonald (hamstring) will all be assessed to see if they can play any part in the game. Jordan Fitzpatrick will again be available after coming through Saturday’s game unharmed after a long spell on the side-lines.

The game kicks off at the usual time of 7.45pm with the winners set to progress into the final which will be played on Wednesday 26th April.
