Match Preview: Coalville Town (A)

Tuesday 12/09/2017

The Pitmen return to Evo-Stik Northern Premier League action this evening as we make the trip to Coalville Town.

Coalville currently sit just one point and two places above us in the league table, having won three league games on the spin.

The Pitmen will be looking to get back to winning ways on the road, after suffering a disappointing loss at Stoubridge just over a week ago, as they look to build on their only three point haul on their travels so far which came at Stafford Rangers.

Last season saw the Pitmen earn a draw with almost the last kick of the game in what was an entertaining 2-2 draw towards the end of the campaign.

Under the guidance of newly appointed manager Rob Smith, the Pitmen will be looking to build upon Saturday’s 3-0 defeat of Sutton Coldfield Town when they hit the road this evening.

Rob said:

“It was a good result for us on Saturday but we all know there is still a lot of improvement needed in all areas.

“I have though been really pleased with the application and attitude of the players so far since we came in last week.

“We know tonight will be really difficult as they are very much in form, so we will need to be much improved to come away with a positive result.”

The game kicks off at the usual midweek time of 7.45pm and we hope that you can make the trip to support the Pitmen.
