Match Preview: Coalville Town (H)

Friday 12/01/2018

Hednesford Town make a quick return to action tomorrow when Coalville Town visit Keys Park as we look to extend our winning run to six matches in all competitions.

The Pitmen go into the game looking to gain revenge for the 5-2 defeat that was handed out earlier in the season.

In fact we are looking to record our first ever victory against Coalville with the Ravens holding the upper hand in two out of our three meetings so far.

Manager Rob Smith was hoping to see his side extend their good run of late:

“Coalville are also on a good run at the moment and have some exceptional players. It was one of my first games in-charge when we went to Coalville earlier in the season and on the night they blew us away. I am hoping we can put on a much better show on Saturday.

“But we too are on a good run at the moment and the challenge is to keep this going as long as we can, and when it ends we need to start another run ASAP. The attitude of this set of players has been superb of late and they are a pleasure to work with.

“Finally can I thank you all for the unbelievable support of late. I think the supporters can see and respect the work rate of the team and there is now a strong connection between the players and fans alike.”

Midfielder Mason Walsh will face a fitness test to see if he can be involved after being forced off with injury during the first half on Tuesday evening.

The game kicks off at 3pm and we look forward to welcoming you to Keys Park with Strikers Bar open to both sets of supporters before and after the game.
