The Pitmen prepare to hit the road again this evening as our attentions turn towards the Staffordshire Senior Cup.
Tonight we make the journey to the north of the county to take on Newcastle Town in the quarter-final of the competition with a home draw against Leek Town or Stoke City awaiting the winners of the tie.
We moved into this round of the competition following a convincing 5-0 defeat of Lichfield City at Keys Park a month ago. Meanwhile our hosts this evening defeated Sporting Khalsa 3-1 back in December to make the last eight.
Newcastle currently sit in 15th place in the Evo-Stik Division One South having accumulated 29 points from their 27 league games winning six and losing seven at home.
This will of course be the second time that we have faced Newcastle this season having defeated them at Keys Park back in November in the League Cup. That evening, a late goal from Jordan Graham saw us progress.
The game kicks off at the usual time of 7.45pm and we thank those supporters who are making the trip.
