Match Preview: Buxton (a)

Friday 23/03/2018

Hednesford Town return to action tomorrow afternoon with a trip to Derbyshire to take on Buxton.
Although there is only just over a month of the season to go, amazingly this will be the first meeting between the sides this season with our home fixture against Buxton having being postponed twice.
Following their 1-0 victory against Ashton United last night Buxton currently sit in 12th place with 47 points from their 34 games.
After seeing his side slip to defeat in midweek against Warrington Town, manager Rob Smith was looking for a response tomorrow:
“We know that it will be another tough test for us to tomorrow against Buxton – especially as they have recently changed their manager and no doubt their squad will be looking to impress.
“For us it is important to try and get back to winning ways after the disappointing result in midweek as we look to try and finish the season as high up the table as we can.”
Smith will be able to call upon midfielder Joe Fitzpatrick once again after he completed his suspension.

The game kicks off at the usual time of 3pm and we hope that you can make the trip to support the Pitmen.
