Squad Update

Thursday 04/10/2018

Hednesford Town Football Club wanted to bring you somewhat of an update with regards to the first team playing squad.

Last Saturday’s fixture at Marine saw Matt Dodd limp off during the first half with a medial ligament injury. The winger is due to undergo a scan but from the early signs it looks like he could be set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
There are also a number of other players who have picked up knocks in recent weeks with Charlie Gatter, Jed Davies and Josh Craddock all due to be missing this weekend.

Just ahead of our game at Grantham Town on Tuesday evening we secured the signing of midfielder Callum Coyle on a one month loan from National League side Solihull Moors. The ball playing midfielder impressed during his debut and is available to play in the FA Cup on Saturday against Kettering Town.

Manager Rob Smith is working hard to bring in another striker to bolster the ranks at Keys Park – with a deal hopefully set to be completed before the end of the week.

Meanwhile the Pitmen boss is also currently in the process of trying to arrange cover for Josef Bursik with the young goalkeeper set to be away from Monday, 8th October, for ten days with England U19s as he continues his development on the international scene.
