Ben Bailey Makes Keys Park Return

Wednesday 12/12/2018

Hednesford Town Football Club are delighted to announce that we have today agreed terms with defender Ben Bailey in order to enable his return to Keys Park, subject to international clearance.

The popular centre-half returns for his third spell with the club – deciding to opt for a switch back to the Pitmen after a seven day approach was made to Newtown AFC for his services.

In his previous two spells Bailey, 27, clocked up more than 370 games after breaking into the first team during the 2007/08 campaign.

Following the news of this signing caretaker manager Francino Francis said:

“I’m delighted to be able to bring ‘Bails’ back to the football club. As soon as I stepped into this position he was someone who I wanted to make a move for.

“Everyone knows what you get from Ben and I’m really pleased that he has opted to sign for us as he will be a rock at the back and is very much a fans’ favourite.”

The Pitmen will now be working hard in order to get Bailey registered in time for the trip to Stafford Rangers on Saturday.
