Melbourne Makes Keys Park Return

Sunday 30/12/2018

Hednesford Town manager Nicky Eaden has today moved to bolster his squad with the signing of Alex Melbourne.

The 29-year-old returns to Keys Park for a fourth spell having originally joined during the 2010/11 campaign.

Melbourne, who can play in either a full-back role or in midfield, returned to the club ahead of the start of the 2012/13 season as he helped to guide us to promotion and a cup double – playing over 100 games during the next two and a half years.

A spell with Stafford Rangers followed before the former Wolves man returned to the Pitmen in the summer of 2017.

Departing just over 12 months ago, Melbourne has most recently been with Sporting Khalsa before making his return to Hednesford in time for the New Year’s Day clash against Farsley Celtic at Keys Park.
