Match Preview: Lancaster City (A)

Saturday 23/03/2019

Hednesford Town look to make it five league games on the spin unbeaten today as we make the journey up to Lancaster City.

After recording three successive victories before earning a point in an end-to-end fixture against Nantwich Town last weekend the Pitmen go into the game looking to move closer to that 50 point mark.

Our hosts this afternoon are also on a good run of form though having picked up 11 points from their last six matches – leaving them sitting two places above us with 43 points from their 35 matches.

The Pitmen will also be looking to avoid an unwanted league double against Lancaster who defeated us at Keys Park back in October – despite playing with only ten men for a large part of it.

We go into the fixture with no fresh injury concerns while there has been some movement in the squad over the course of the last week with Izak Reid in line to make his debut after joining from Chasetown.

Finally we’d like to thank all those who are making the journey up the M6, or by other means, this afternoon to support the Pitmen for the game that kicks off at the usual time of 3pm.
