Last week’s 3-0 win at Stourbridge marked club captain Ben Bailey’s 400th appearance for the Pitmen. Ben made his first team debut as a substitute against Prescot Cables in 2008 before going on to make his first start later that season against Marine, a game in which he won the man of the match award.
Centre-half Ben returned for a third spell with Hednesford Town in December 2018 after starting last season in the Welsh Premier League with Newtown AFC. Ben also spent a year away from Keys Park during the 2016/17 season when he played for AFC Telford.
A commanding centre-half and an immensely popular player, Ben played a huge part in the 2012/13 promotion year sweeping the board at the end of season awards.
Congratulations Ben and here is to another 400 games!
