Coalville Town v Hednesford Town (A)

Monday 12/08/2019

The Pitmen travel to Leicestershire to take on Coalville Town in the Betvictor Southern Premier Central on Tuesday evening.

They will be hoping to continue where they left off at the weekend after a 2-1 win against Lowestoft Town, with goals from Jack Hallahan and Danny Glover.

Gary Hayward was pleased with the result:

“A win’s a win, we were under the cosh in the second half but really should have had a good lead at half time. Considering Ben Bailey and Ben O`Hanlon were recovering from illness, Kris Scott had a tight hamstring and Billy Daniels hadn’t trained much, then Kieran Morris took a bang on the head in the first half. I’m happy with the result, Lowestoft are a good side.”

The Ravens started their campaign away at Leiston salvaging a draw with a late penalty from Adam McGurk.

James Hurst is on the mend but not yet ready to play, while Matt Curley is away on holiday. Otherwise everyone else in the Pitmen squad is available for selection.
