Hednesford Town are proud to announce that Ollie Waddison, Carter Lycett and Josh Lewis have been invited to take part in the next stage of trials for England Schoolboys. The trio will be representing England North in the North v South trial match due to be held at St Georges’ Park on Saturday 16th November.

Ollie (16) who has made an appearance from the bench for the first team this season, is a quick attacking player with a lethal left foot.

Left back Carter Lycett who made his first team debut for Hednesford earlier this season, has already represented England.

6 ft 4 Josh, also 16, is vice-captain of the U-17s managed by Jaspa Jones and is a central defender. Josh has previously been at Aston Villa and has had trials with Fleetwood and Grimsby.

Jaspa explained; “We are hugely proud of Ollie, Carter and Josh, it is amazing to think that three out of sixteen of the players to represent England North have come from one non-league club. It goes to show the high quality of player’s in our youth set-ups. It really puts Hednesford Town on the map as the place to be for young developing players. ”

Everyone connected with the club would like wish Ollie, Carter and Josh the best of luck and we look forward to enjoying their success with them.
