Sutton Coldfield Town v Hednesford Town (A)

Friday 08/11/2019

This weekend Hednesford Town return to Buildbase FA Trophy action as they travel to Sutton Coldfield Town in the Second Round. The Royals, managed by former Pitmen boss Neil Tooth, are currently bottom of the Northern Premier, South East Division. However, their lowly position may be deceptive, as they have played up to half a dozen games less than many of their league rivals. Sutton defeated Stafford Rangers 2-1 at Coles Lane to reach the second round of the competition.

Hednesford Town, 2-1 winners against Stratford Town in the previous round, go into the game buoyed by Jack Hallahan’s hat trick last weekend and by the return from injury of Ben O’Hanlon on Tuesday. James Hurst and Sam Griffiths are injury doubts.

Ahead of the game player-coach, Danny Glover said; “This is a massive game in the FA Trophy for us, we are in a great position in the league and the squad are good enough and ready for the challenge in both competitions.”
