Smith makes Pitmen switch

Friday 10/07/2020

Hednesford Town FC are pleased to announce that combative midfielder Lee Smith has moved to the PRG Stadium@Keys Park from nearby neighbours Rushall Olympic.

Smith, 29, began his non league career at Romulus where in 2015 he moved on to join current Hednesford manager Andy Morrell. After leaving the Lamb he joined the Pics for the first time during there 2016/17 season before a short spell at Hednesford. He left the Pitmen to join up with Sutton Coldfield Town before earning a move back to the Southern Premier central with Rushall and has spent two successful years at Dales Lane. A tough tackling, experienced midfielder with a big presence, Lee was a big hit with the Rushall supporters and we fully expect it to be the same as he arrives here at Hednesford to play for Morrell for the second time in his career.

We look forward to seeing you in a Pitmen shirt this season Lee!
