Danny Glover returns to Keys Park.

Hednesford Town can confirm that Danny Glover will be coming home for his third stint at the club, this time as first team player-coach.

Danny returns after a 12-month spell at Nantwich Town where he chipped in with a dozen goals as the Dabbers reached the play-off semi-finals and lifted the Cheshire Senior Cup.

Supporters will not need reminding of Danny’s past goal scoring exploits for the Pitmen, finding the net 13 times in 25 appearances during the 2016-17 season before his 29 goal haul the year after.

Of his return Danny said, “I’m really happy to come home, it was a tough decision to leave Nantwich after getting so close to promotion last year, but this is an opportunity I couldn’t turn down. I am feeling good, and ready to go and give my all for the Hednesford shirt again. It will be a great experience for me working closely with Gaz and Mark.”

Manager Gary Hayward added, “Danny is just a great lad, a really good player who is proven at this level and above, he will give us an extra cutting edge in front of goal”.

After beginning his career at Port Vale, Danny has also represented Worcester City, Stockport County and AFC Telford.

Welcome home Danny!
