Club Response

Friday 17/07/2015

Hednesford Town Football Club have today taken the decision to respond to reports on social media that midfielder Jamey Osborne has signed for Southern League Premier side Redditch United.

Since the completion of the 2014/15 season, the Football Club have been keen to keep hold of Osborne and also help progress the career of a player whom we have developed from the Youth Team into a First Team regular at Keys Park as the club climbed up to the Conference North.

Despite numerous attempts to contact the 23-year-old, who has played almost 200 games for the Pitmen, the Football Club has been unable to get a response from Jamey as to his future intentions.

The first we were made aware of any such move away from Keys Park came on Friday, July 17, when it was announced via a local newspaper editor at the Redditch Standard, that the player had signed for the Worcestershire side.

If that is his intended destination then both clubs will have to agree a compensation fee or if unable to agree, to refer the case to an FA Tribunal for resolution.
