Thursday 08/12/2016

Hednesford Town manager Paul Casey has made a move to bolster his attacking line-up by signing the experienced Spencer Weir-Daley.

The frontman arrives from Southern Premier League side Kettering Town for whom he has scored over 20 times this season.

The 31-year-old began his career with Nottingham Forest before having spells with Notts County, Boston United and AFC Telford United among others.

Having helped Corby Town to promotion he joined Kettering last season, continuing his excellent goalscoring record.

Casey said: “Spencer gives us a lot of experience up front and knows where the back of the net is.

“He helped Corby to promotion two seasons ago with his goals and has continued that at Kettering.”

The striker has been registered in time for Saturday’s home game against Warrington Town at Keys Park.
