Two New Faces Added To Pitmen Squad

Friday 01/02/2019

Hednesford Town are pleased to announce the arrival of two new players at Keys Park as Nicky Eaden and Garry Hayward continue to bolster their squad.
Following the news that Nathan Fox is set for an extended spell on the sidelines and with Danny Lupano missing tomorrow’s match they have moved to sign left-back Jordan Mills.
The 19-year-old began his career with Derby County but was released at the end of the last campaign – moving to Redditch United. However he has recently been without a club, with plans afoot for a move to America in the summer, and despite turning down a number of other sides he has opted to sign for the Pitmen.
We have also moved to secure the signing of striker Ethan Jones from Welsh Premier League side Newtown AFC. The 20-year-old spent his early years with Wolverhampton Wanderers before moving to Shrewsbury Town, for whom he would play in the Football League
Loan moves to Tranmere Rovers and Stourbridge followed before he linked up with Southport in the summer of 2017. Following a short spell with Halesowen Town he moved to Newtown 12 months ago – scoring seven times before the end of the season.
International Clearance has been granted for Jones and both players will be available for selection tomorrow afternoon when the Pitmen host Hyde United at Keys Park.
