Following reports in several news outlets of an appearance in court in Scotland by James Hurst. A number of the news articles have stated that James Hurst is a player at our club, Hednesford Town FC.

As most supporters will be aware Mr Hurst’s contract had been terminated by mutual consent in January of 2020.

Hednesford Town Football Club came under new ownership in May of 2020 and at the same time a new manager was appointed. Neither the new board of directors nor Hednesford manager Andy Morrell have had any dialogue with Mr Hurst as he had left the football club long before their arrival.

As the club has no knowledge of the case we cannot and will not make any comment into the reports surrounding Mr Hurst’s situation.
