Hednesford Town assistant manager Chris Brindley and club mascot Pitman Pete were among a handful of VIP’s who were on hand to cut the ribbon and confirm the opening of the new Tesco store in Hednesford on Monday 26th November.
The supermarket in Victoria Street has created 220 new jobs with many of the new employees being trained at Keys Park with Tesco and the employment agencies taking advantage of the facilities here at the Football Club.
The Football Club hopes that this will be the start of a long-standing relationship between itself and Tesco, with the supermarket giant funding a pitch side sponsorship board at Keys Park.
