Wolves Women come to Keys Park

Monday 21/07/2014

Hednesford Town Football Club is delighted to announce that Wolverhampton Wanderers Women will be using Keys Park for their home fixtures during the 2014/15 season. After discussions between the two parties, we were able to come to an agreement which will see the women’s side using Keys Park as their home stadium for the forthcoming campaign.

Wolves Women Chairperson Jenny Wilkes said, “Keys Park is a fantastic stadium. We played a crucial game there against Newcastle at the end of last season and the players and staff were really impressed with the facilities. We won the game too!

“We’ve had two great seasons at Castlecroft Stadium and would like to pass on our thanks to everyone at AFC Wulfrunians for their help and support.

“Now we’re opening a new chapter for the women’s team, as we embark on the inaugural season of the brand new FA Women’s Premier League at the pinnacle of the women’s winter pyramid.”

The women’s team will be hosting the likes of Stoke City, Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest Ladies over the course of the 2014/15 season as they look to build on the good foundations which they already have in place.

We hope that Hednesford Town supporters will come along and give their backing to the Wolves with matches due to take place on Sunday afternoons with a 2pm kick-off. The first will see Derby County Ladies visiting Keys Park on Sunday 24th August 2014. A full fixture list will be published online soon.
