Rob Smith has added two more new faces to his squad following the arrival of defender Kyle Morrison and striker Luke Benbow at Keys Park.

Both signed forms for the club last night after partaking in the first two training sessions since the squad of players reported back for pre-season at the weekend.

Morrison is a 19-year-old defender who predominantly plays at centre-half but can also play on the right side of defence.

After spending time in the Wolves academy the youngster spent last season with Alvechurch before impressing the Hednesford management team during pre-season.

Benbow, 23, meanwhile arrives from Northern Premier League side Stourbridge, where he scored over 50 goals during a three-year spell with the Glassboys.

At 16 he joined the football education programme at Birmingham City. He later had spells with Bromsgrove Rovers and Weymouth before being selected to join Glenn Hoddle’s Football Academy in Spain.

He later returned to the UK and had trials with Cheltenham Town in September 2011 before signing for Solihull Moors, initially being loaned out to Midland Alliance side Highgate United before later linking up with Redditch for the latter part of the 2011-12 campaign, then signing for Stourbridge in the summer of 2012.
