Geddes signs for the Pitmen

Saturday 06/08/2016

Hednesford Town are delighted to announce that Sean Geddes has agreed a deal with the Pitmen.

Geddes, who is well respected player throughout the Midlands non-league circuit, impressed during the game against Mansfield Town on Monday evening and manager Liam McDonald moved to sign him straight away.

He said: ‘I’m really excited to be able to bring Sean to Keys Park. He is a very good football player and over the years I have been an admirer of his.

‘To be able to work with him is not only good for me but also for him.

‘It is a great signing for us as we had to beat off quite a few other clubs from higher up the leagues and we delighted to get him here.’

The attacking midfielder has had two spells at Stourbridge, after starting out at Walsall. After starring in the FA Cup with the Glassboys, Geddes also shot to fame with Worcester City for scoring a ‘robana’ goal.

Geddes, 24, will be involved against AFC Rushden & Diamonds this afternoon in the last pre-season game at Keys Park which kicks off at 3pm.
