One In – One Out At Keys Park

Friday 10/11/2017

Hednesford Town Football Club can this afternoon confirm that utility man Alex Melbourne has departed from Keys Park, with manager Rob Smith moving quickly to replace him by bringing in Charlie Gatter on-loan.

Melbourne re-joined the Pitmen for a third spell over the course of the summer but has decided to leave the club this week. Everyone associated with the football club would like to thank Alex for his no nonsense efforts and wish him all the best for the future.

Gatter arrives at the club on a one-month loan deal from Gainsborough Trinity. The 19-year-old began his career with Burton Albion before linking up with Boston United.
National League North side Gainsborough moved to bring the defender/midfielder into the club over the summer, with him signing a one year deal with them.

The Pitmen return home tomorrow when we host Cleethorpes Town at Keys Park in the Second Qualifying Round of the Buildbase FA Trophy, with the game kicking off at 3pm.
