Brown joins Pitmen

Tuesday 14/09/2021

Hednesford Town are pleased to announce the signing of goalkeeper Jono Brown from our local rivals Stafford Rangers.

Brown, 24, arrives at the PRG Stadium@Keys Park with an already impressive non league CV, having begun his career lower down the pyramid with the likes of Boldmere and AFC Wulfrunians. He caught the eye of then National League side Kidderminster Harriers where he stayed for three years spending time out on loan with the likes of Bromsgrove and Rushall. He then moved to Bromsgrove permanently in 2018 before short spells during the Covid curtailed seasons at Alvechurch and Stafford Rangers.

Manager Keenen Meakin-Richards said “Jono is a quality goalkeeper, he knows this level well and his attitude is first class. We are now blessed to have two very good goalkeepers in Jono and Wych, which as a management team we feel can only be a good thing as they will push each other forward”.

Jono has been registered and is available for tonight’s game at the PRG Stadium @Keys Park against Nuneaton Borough, 19:45pm kick off.
