The Pitmen are back in action on Tuesday night as they face Stone Old Alleynians in the Staffordshire Senior Cup. The Old Boys are currently 11th in the Midland Football League,  although they have hit a difficult patch of form since beating Lye Town in early December, losing 1-0 to Tividale and Hanley Town before Saturday’s 5-1 loss at Romulus.

Following the Pitmen’s 3-3 draw at Needham Market, Keenen Meakin-Richards stated his intention to field a strong side for the fixture; “We want to go as far as we can in this competition and try to win it, we also need to give the players game time as we do not have a fixture next Saturday.”
