Today it can be confirmed that following an approach and successful trials with a Premier League club, Todd Parker has decided to remain with the Pitmen.

Todd felt that Hednesford Town FC, has been great for his development to date with regular first team football, and didn’t wish to move mid-season.  The camaraderie, desire within the camp and development as a whole (both personally and as a team), remained the key factor to his decision to stay with Hednesford Town.  Todd has enjoyed his football to date and has put in some continued impressive performances for the Pitmen, which to no surprise, has seen Todd come in the spotlight of Several Premier League & Championship Clubs, who was seeking his signature.  However, Todd has decided that his future remains with the Pitmen whilst he continues to play under contract, as both Todd and the team feel they can continue to push forwards for a playoff spot.

KMR stated “were obviously delighted with the news that Todd wishes to remain with us, he has been a great player for us, he settled in quickly and has become an integral part of the team.  We would be unfair and foolish to stand in the way of such opportunities for players with potential moves to such big clubs, as often players tend to move quicker in progression than clubs can as a whole, hence why Todd was allowed to go on trial.  So for Todd to come back and recognise that we as a club can offer players something to achieve his & their personal goals is a great acknowledgement of the work which goes in behind the scenes.  In return, all we can do is continue working hard everyday, with both Todd and all other players at the club, to assist their personal development and to keep looking upwards in the league and giving everything we can to achieve our goals, for all players, the club and the fans.”
