McQuilkin becomes a Pitman

Hednesford Town are pleased to announce that James McQuilkin has signed for the club.

McQuilkin, 33, came through the ranks at West Bromwich Albion before joining FC Trinity Zlin in the Czech Republic, he returned to England in 2009 with Hereford United and then took in spells at Kidderminster, Walsall, Hednesford, Torquay and Telford. He returned to Kidderminster in 2015 where he made 81 appearances before departing back to AFC Telford United in 2018 for a 2 year stay.

Following a brief return to Hereford, the Tipton born midfielder signed for Stourbridge in the Southern central premier division. Having departed the Glassboys at the end of last season he spent time with the Pitmen during the summer however a deal wasn’t reached for the former Northern Ireland Under 21 international however we are delighted to announce he has now agreed terms here at the RACE Stadium.
