Tooth appointed as Assistant Manager

Saturday 17/09/2022

Hednesford Town are pleased to announce that Neil Tooth has agreed to join the club as our new assistant manager.

Tooth began his management career as a coach at Retford, eventually moving up to become number 2 to Chris Keogh at Sutton Coldfield Town before taking over the first team managers role in 2012, within 3 years he had built a side that won promotion via the playoffs to Step 3, before consolidating the Royals as a step 3 side finishing a very respectable 12th having been favourites for relegation before departing the following season.

Tooth then became first team manager here at Hednesford in May 2017 for a short spell before returning to Coles Lane to become manager at Sutton Coldfield for a second time in January 2018 resigning in late 2021.

Tooth brings a wealth of non league experience to the club and manager Steve Burr was keen to get him on board as the final piece in his new management team having appointed Leroy Lita as player/coach upon his arrival last week.

Welcome back to the Pitmen Toothy!
