Hednesford Town are pleased to announce the signing of Canadian winger Mikey Nelson from Shifnal Town.

Nelson, 28, who lists amongst his previous clubs Walsall Wood, Rushall Olympic, Redditch United and Gresley Rovers as well as a brief spell at the Pitmen previously as a youngster is a skilful winger who Danny Glover was happy to beat a number of teams to the signature of.

Glover said “ Mikey is pacey, powerful and direct which is exactly the kind of player we wanted to add to the squad, mikey is a good character and the kind of lad we want in the dressing room and on the pitch, we are targeting players like Mikey who are not only very talented players but have the right attitude and above all will be proud to wear the Hednesford badge on their chest”.
