An Update from the Operations Manager

Wednesday 15/05/2024

Hello Fellow Pitmen,

I hope you’re all keeping well.

I wanted to touch base with you all to update you of developments happening both on and off field and hopefully appease some of the worries and frustration that some of you may be feeling.

As a club, since the final whistle blew on our 23/24 campaign, we have been working extremely hard and diligently behind the scenes to prepare for the start of a new era here at Hednesford Town. We have welcomed Marvin Robinson as our new CEO who brings a wealth of experience and passion to the club as well as having the Pitmen well and truly at heart.
Plans continue to be worked on and are progressing well with the installation of a new state of the art score board and new dug outs to welcome the team at the start of 24/25 season. Ongoing building work and maintenance is taking place around the ground including a repaint of the stands and upgrading existing facilities.

We have exciting news around plans for a complete re seed of the Keys Park which we hope will provide a fantastic playing surface for the players next season. Head Grounds lady , Val Bates, added ‘ I am absolutely delighted we are able to bring a top quality playing surface to the club. We are going to phase mow the top surface and then apply 60 tonnes of 60/40 top dressing verti drain disc. We will then seed 20 bags of top quality seed ; once this is complete and when the seed starts to germinate we will apply liquid fertiliser to provide a fantastic surface for the team to play on’

The new kit has now been signed off and will be in production over the coming weeks with it being ready for viewing in time for the pre season schedule. We hope to have the kit on general sale in time for the end of July.

Season ticket pricing as well as match day pricing will be announced in the coming weeks once we have confirmation of our league status. This is down to league sponsorship requirements around branding so we are unable to release details until we are officially
placed. On this note, we anticipate that we will be notified of our initial league placement within the next 3-4 working days. We urge caution with this news as it is only provisional to start with and we must allow time for The FA to look at appeals.

Turning to on the pitch, we are hopeful of having news for you around our next managerial appointment in the very near future. As with all vitally important appointments, decisions of this magnitude take time and we are hopeful of positive news that we can
give you very soon.
Details around our released and retained list will tie in with our league status announcement and work behind the scenes with our new Director of Football, Andrew Reed and the recruitment team is a 24/7 operation that we believe will bear fruit for a positive and exciting season ahead.

I will be looking to announce further details in the up coming weeks around Fans Forums and Q&A’s with club staff so please keep your eyes peeled for those dates!

Finally I want to thank you all for your continued and unwavering support of the club; it does not go unnoticed and we are incredibly determined to build a team both on and off the pitch of which you can be proud and will bring success back to Keys Park.

Anyone who wishes to speak to me further or ask any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at
jackbevan@htfc.co.uk at any time.

See you Soon and UTP
Jack
