✍🏽 Hednesford Town sign League Awards Hat-trick winner Rob Stevenson ⚽️

Welcome to Keys Park, Rob Stevenson.

Hednesford Town are thrilled to announce the signing of prolific forward and newly crowned League Player Of The Season, Fans’ Player Of The Season and Golden Boot winner Rob Stevenson from Leek Town.

The much sought after marksman has previously had spells at a number of clubs but is best known for his time at Leek Town. Since 2016, Rob has amassed 307 appearances scoring 102 times and is a regular fixture in teams of the season, player of the year nominations and awards from journalists, peers and fans.

Rob was last season part of the title winning team at Leek Town and joins Daniel Trickett-Smith in making the move from the Moorlands to South Staffordshire and join the Steve King revolution taking place here at Keys Park.

21 goals in the league (26 in all competitions) gave our new striker the Golden Boot award in Blackpool during the end of the season awards, where he also picked up the prestigious double award of Fans’ Player of the Season and League Player Of The Season: a spectacular achievement from our new front man.

Rob also gained credit and well deserved attention when scoring against South Shields in the FA Cup which was screened live on the BBC.

A delighted Hednesford Town Manager, Steve King, stated

This is a very good signing getting Rob to the club; both him and Dan produced almost 50 goals between them at Leek Town last season and the chemistry they bring is invaluable and we are delighted to have got the deal done. Rob’s goal scoring record as well as his all round style of play was something I wanted to bring into the club; Rob was much sought after, we have had to work extremely hard to get this one over the line and I am delighted that he is here as a Hednesford Town player

Everyone here at Keys Park is excited to see Rob in the famous black and white and wish him all the best for his time here!
